Financial Independence (FI) Equals Freedom!
True freedom is when you have control over your time so you can pursue your passions and live life on your own terms. Achieving financial independence is a key step towards this, as it allows you to live the life you want without being tied to a job or dependent on others for financial support. However, getting to this point requires both financial intelligence and the willingness to take action. By carefully managing your finances, investing wisely, and building sustainable income streams, you gain financial freedom.
Strategies
There are different ways of achieving FI. There is no one way that fits every scenario so you must learn and map out a plan that works for you.

Welcome. I assume you’ve come to the site because like me a FIRE has awakened within and you’re now on a journey to become financially free. I developed this site to chronicle my journey to financial freedom and to share relevant information about the things I’ve learned along the way.
I slaved away much of my time on this earth working for the other guy. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that but I’ve missed tons of time with my wife and kids as well as friends and family while doing so. All for an employer who could let me go tomorrow if it was best for them.
I’ve learned that working for someone else is not BAD because I loved my career in IT. It allowed me to travel across the world and make a good income. The problem is I didn’t think about a time when I would not have my job or a time when I could not work. I never asked myself “What if”? So, I created a plan and put it into action. I made the decision that my job would not be my only source of income and that I wanted to retire before the traditional age of 65. The time had come for me to set new goals that focused on financial freedom.
Increase Your Financial Intelligence.
It all starts with knowledge and insights. Once you see that financial independence is achievable the only thing left is for you to take action.
